Yes, but the generational gap between the i5, and the i7, may still prove the i5 3570k to be faster. I'm not sure how well Cinebench 11.5 results scale to Final Cut Pro performance (I'm not a heavy Apple user), but you can see the 3570k stock will beat even an i7 965 (which would be faster than i7 860) in that rendering benchmark.
Not to mention (because we can't here) Ivy Bridge with the OS we can't talk about using on our PCs with a z77 gigabyte board would probably be a lot easier to get setup / supported than whatever p55 board you can find.
Also I think Final Cut performance can be increased with a GPU from what I remember my Apple buddies talking about when buying new MBP.
