im a hardcore gamer so i want this cpu to be good for gaming to the extreme whats difference between fx57 and fx60

FX-57 single core with more MHz, FX-60 dual core with less MHz. Both have the same cache I think (although the FX-60 is that amount per core). The Opty 170 is one of the best AMD processors out there.

i think its that the fx 60 is dual core

You should stick with the one you have now .. and wait for another much better CPU to come out.. Well thats what i would do if i was at your possition.

dude the 170 pwns. if your upgrading, you can always give your opty to me


id say go with 57 for gaming, and 60 for multitasking, cause its dual core and 2 mb cache

I definately Agree with ''HOSTILE'' on this one. Your Current CPU is great, there is no need to upgrade. If you really wish to upgrade then wait Until Conroe Comes out.
