just wondering if there is a program that can identify what drivers you would need if you are about to run Windows XP Pro 64 Bit

you need to go to the manufatures website and update the drivers from there for alomst all your drivers. I had to do that with the 64 bit upgrade I did.

btw how do you like it?

Not really, I know that with the CD that comes to install Windows XP, there is the compability test and then maybe drivers look up. But let me remind you that Windows 64-bit is only for prefessionnal. Many games do not support 64-bit, as other applications, and you need a Motherboard that supports 64-bit and a processor that supports the instruction 64-bit but I'm sure you checked this already. For home using 64-bit is not necessary. Some drivers are compatible only with 32-bit, then you will have to mess around looking for specifiq drivers. You will have no gain with the 64-bit version.

1.G-card drivers
2.Sound drivers
3.Chipset Drivers
4. All other motherboard drivers ( 64 BIT )

The only issues I have seen are lack of antivirus (avast is the only game in town) and a complete absence of software firewalls. Also most printers don't have drivers (including the Adobe Distiler's pdf printer ).
