Hey, im at 3.7 now with 18.5 multiplier and 200bus speed usually 1.38-1.39vcore
there was ALOT of things in the bios i left on auto because i do not know what to change it to. Can anyone help me out on this, like specific numbers for a 3.9-4.0 OC
here are my stats
M4N68T-M Asus Motherboard
Phenom 965BE
h50 CPU cooler
and here are pics of the idle temps and load temps on 3.7 after 6 hours of prime95, i really want to get to 3.9 stable or 4.0 stable, thanks guys.

I cant give you specific numbers but keep going as you are, the Vcore can be upto 1.55v as long as temps are OK

That's the thing, i went to 3.9, running smooth, until i prime95d it, then it shut down, went to 3.8, prime95d it, shut down, 3.7 didn't shut down and looks to be the only stable one... Theres more things i can mess with it to make it more stable i just don't know much about OC and is hoping someone here can help. thanks tho

You aren't going to get there with solely a multiplier overclock. You will have to raise the FSB, and make sure the ram and nb can handle the additional frequencies, or change their multipliers. I'd recommend reading up on FSB overclocking in the forums or elsewhere on the web. That combined with multiplier OC combined with additional vcore should get you there on a h50.

Does that board not support HT3? Your HT Link speed is only at 1000 and it should be at 2000.

Im not sure what that is, but i can change the HT on bios, just not sure what to set it at

That chip should have no problem whatsoever hitting 4 gigs. But liek someone else stated, you can't do it solely by multiplier. Check sig for validation and work backwards til you have it stable.

And by stable I mean usable. Prime95 stresses your PC way beyond what you would during normal operation for the most part. Best way to test it, is to just use it.

My P II 965 required a lot of cpu-nb voltage to get to 4.0 GHz. I believe I was at 1.54 vcore and 1.45v on the cpu-nb. these numbers will be different for every rig but to increase your speed you will probably need to feed it more cpu-nb voltage (this is different from NB voltage. it is usually the first setting under the cpu voltage i the bios)

You want the HT Link speed to be as close to 2000 as possible.
