Hi,
Also another guy tryed this when he had 12 gig ram and only 3.99 gig was usable
1. Take out RAM
2. Use an eraser and run over all the contacts
3. Clean off contacts
4. Insert with pressure
This did help him.

Use ball point pen reacted to move the pin.
Also if your Cooler is to tight on the cpu it will make your system not read all of the ram

i've figured out the problem but i dont know how to fix it except for a reformat in msconfig my maximum ram wont go over 4099 and i think thats the problem since i had a fix for the sims 3 which i tough was nothing special but i think its what caped my ram to 4gb is that possible if so is it undo able? i don't mind reformatting computer start-up been slow but i got lots of stuff installed so if anione knows what to would be greatly apreciated Thank

Reformated, tried cleaning the ram its still not working my cooler isn't on that tight it's the same as when i put it on first time and it was working then the pin isnt bent i checked its getting the full contact on it i'm really out of options right now i think sending it back to asus would be the best bet atm but argh i dont know what caused it i'm not at all happy
