Im sorry to break it to you, but windows and linux are no different, youre using as much ram in linux as you are in windows, the only differences are the kernels. Linux isnt faster or more powerful than windows, vice versa.

Well the thing is that the HDCP software/hardware (not sure what to call it) and the Hollywood studios will somehow encrypte the disk so somehow not play when copied to the computer, this is because the HDCP monitor will encrypte EVERYTHING transmited through it, which mean that if it find something wrong it will not play, not sure how it works, no ones really does at this point

Remonster, AAO is also available for free and is available in XP and Linux.
Fact, the first 64 bit OS was Linux, the first game was AAO
I do have to get back into Linux

Sorry, off topic but hey, isn't the what's up with Bill worth a jab

My school has a partnership with MS and we get free copies of pretty much all MS products, except games, and I'm pretty psyched cause we'll get a free copy of Vista when its released....

And ive used ubuntu, and I have the disks.. I really didnt like it, nothing could install even though I was under the only account that it let me choose, which I would THINK would be the root user, but it didnt.. My windows is using about 340mb right now and its got Firefox open with 3 tabs, Trillian, and other programs, using about 390mb of pagefile....

Ah oh well.
Lol Jori, you have to install as the root user, in the terminal you have to type "sudo" before any command that requires you to be the root, in Ubuntu there is no real root user, just the sudo command.

For instance if you want to tell Ubuntu to run your NVIDIA drivers version 8756 instead of using cd to change directories to the folder where the installer is and typing

Code:
 ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8756.pkg1.run
you type

Code:
 sudo ./NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8756.pkg1.run
sounds like somebody was impatient and didnt want to learn Linux
