XFX 7600 GT XXX - 256 MB - PCIe - + Fatal1ty FS-V7

i had an old 6800 with an fatal1ty fs v7 cooler on it and i thougt what the hell maybe i can put it on my 7600 gtxxx iam runnning sli so it was kinda hard to put it in not a lot off space realy and i first put 1 card in (with the fatality on it and boot the pc.

then came the problem!a #^$% schock came of the vid and it was dead (i checkt no contact from card to cooler)

so dont put an fs v7 on ure 7600 couz then u are gonna blew up ure card for sure

can i send it for RMA or isnt that gonna work ?

You could try putting the stock cooler back on and sending it in, but XFX doesn't cover replacing the stock heatsink, only eVGA does.

yeah i allready did that i think iam going to send it to the store where i bought it from maybe they can fix the rma Thing

and an other option is to send it to xfx

This is kinda off topic, but what kind of benchmarks do you get with the 7600GTs in SLI?

It's not your fault the stock cooler "broke down" and caused you card to overheat.. is it now

SO you put a new cooler on your card and i wasnt actually touching the chip, resulting in *boom* correct?

Thats retarded. All you had to do was look to see if it was on properly before you put it in!

As Chozart said, just tell them you were playing a game and then you smelt bacon, and by the time you switched it off it was already charcoal.

dont know u can play fear full
but call of duty 2 u can @ 1280x1024 havent tested higher (not possible any more )
its not a super card in sli thats for sure

230€ x 2

i had better bought an 7800 or higher then later expand to 2

im pretty sure that the hsf was not the problem, i have had the Zalman VF700LED which i think is the same as the fatality on the exact same card working fine for a couple of weeks.
