Need help to get OC stable

Thread Starter
hey guys i need some ideas on what i can do to get this oc stable. its my b-day today and my ram finaly got here (the stuff in my sig)
I'm trying to find my max cpu oc now that i have better ram. Right now i have my cpu, a d830 at 4.2 ghz, with a vcore of 1.5 windows boots and loads. I ran a burn in test and it didnt freeze then i ran 3dmark06 and when it gets to the cpu tests it quits and gives me and error message.

should i give it a lil more vcore? i could run 4ghz all day at 1.4vcore

also any ideas why my cpu-z does this?

Raise the Vcore a little bit maybe only one step or two (depending how small the steps are) in your BIOS. It's rather low so you should be ok.

thanks version 1.33 fixed that problem for me but now i know my memory timings are off from what they are supposed to be, time to manualy set them.

i know this is the cpu section but in my bios i have 5 memory timings to set rather than just 4 like most people talk about e.g. 4-4-4-12-? i have to pick a number betweek 1-6?

also how high of a vcore would be safe 1.55?

Basically, you are safe with your Vcore until it is too hot. 1.55 probably isn't the max but it all depends on your temp. Vcore while raising stabilty raises temp so.
