Suse 10 will not BOOT!

Thread Starter
Ok I downloaded a Suse 10 5 cd image file of of Bittorrent. I used nero to burn the image to the cd. After this I restarted with CD1 in the drive and made sure my BIOS said to boot to cd first. It rebooted and just went strait to my GRUB loader screen????? I then tried all the other 4 cds and they didn't boot either. So I checked to see if nero unpacked the files correctly and I could easily just browse around the cd in windows so I guess it unpacked right. I tried the cds in 2 other machines and nothing. I tried to boot to Ubuntu and it worked flawlessly. I've tried to burn near 4 images of all 5 cds already and none of them work. Can anyone help?

Are you burning it as a .iso in nero? It only works if you burn as a .iso, if you just burn it as a data cd it won't boot.

Yes or atleast I think I did. I chose the option to burn image to cd. I did that with my Ubuntu also and It worked. But I did that on another machine. I don't know how that would affect it though.

If you boot in Nero Startsmart... Make sure it is in expert mode then go to the data tab. In the bottom right hand corner it says make UDF/ISO CD, click that and then burn it with the .iso you downloaded. If that doesn't work, redownload it maybe from a different mirror and try again. Could have just been a corrupt download.

That would suck to have to download again. It took 2 whole days to complete it's a 3gig download. But I'll try what you suggested.

Alright just burned it then rebooted and still nothing. I don't know what to do anymore. I really don't want to redownload. Maybe I'll just go buy one.

They shouldn't be too expensive to buy. Maybe, that is the best option.
