Download MSE, S&D, ComboFix, Malwarebytes and RegCure, next step is praying that it will fix your problem, but to be honest, it will probably be quicker to repair os or reinstall.

But just a curiosity, have you installed any drivers lately?

I had the same thing. You can't get rid of it with anything, i tried everything. Just format it.

Gets super annoying.

You will have to format the HD.

A friend of mine had this happen to him, came to me to see what it was. I told him to install Avast!, and Avast detected a virus in Explorer.exe, and would stop it from executing during boot.

Needless to say, windows didn't finish starting up because explorer.exe would be blocked by Avast.

I was about to tell him to use ComboFix, but he's a bit of a noob and ComboFix is a dangerous tool to use by newbies.
