Actually I didn't ask for any advice. Its a build thread. Not an advice section. Although it seemed to have turned into a smartass remarks thread.

Thread location shows that you're correct.

I think, however, that you could have made that point without making a "smartass remark" of your own.

Good luck with the build. Look forward to updates.

trust me, its important
An Earthwatts 650w is a perfectly capable PSU. It's made by either Delta or Seasonic, both of which are excellent OEMs.

Replacing it with a Corsair would be a sidegrade. There is no need to upgrade it unless the OP is going SLI/Crossfire.

Keep it. It's quality and has more than enough power for any single GPU setup.

Yeah I think I will keep the PSU for now unless it happens to be one of the 5% or so that blow up within a week or two within buying it. I do plan on possibly going SLI in the future .... then again maybe not. I can always upgrade it.

Done! It took me about a day and a half to completely finish. Actual hands on time probably about 2-3 hours. Reason it took so long is because I ran into a few issues. The first one being I put the ram into the wrong slots (black ones) instead of the grey ones which are 0-1-2. So it didnt post right until I switched.

Also that bring me to another topic .... the damn sabertooth x58 memory retainers. I was pissed off at first thinking they sent me a mobo without all the retainer clips for the memory. But I guess they designed it to use only one retainer per slot ......weird but it works.

Also the whole top plastic piece of my antec 900 is broken. well the retainer clips are anyway so it just sits on top more or less ...... pretty gay. I guess it was banged around during shipping or something. But to be fair the plastic the clips are made of is cheap as hell.

So anyway then I ran into an issue with my boot sector curropting at least 3 times so had to keep wiping it. I though maybe it was a HDD issue ..... but ran a ckdsk and that came back fine. So did memtest. As well as prime95. It has yet to happen again so heck if I know what was causing it.... really odd.

But now everything is up and running smoothly. Its a freakin beast for a budget build. All I need is a second 9800GTX for SLI and it should fly.

I want to take a second to say that this Corsair H50 is a freakin beast for just a 120 rad and small pump. Im not OCd yet but running prime95 of full ....... wont go above 55-60. The lows are something left to be desired though at around 38-42. Ambiet is about 78F though. And I need to install the second fan for push/pull and set bios to run at full so im sure there is more room for lower temps.

Installed the second fan as push/pull and temps are down to 30ish idle and 50ish load (prime95 large ETFs).

I will post pics soon after I rest and enjoy this thing.
