NZXT Vulcan - All Internal Water Cool Build :D

IT'S DONE!!!

My attempt at a "tote-able" m-atx powerhouse:

The particulars:
also note, i ntended to use black tubing but the neoprene trash i got from frozencpu kinked all to hell. my koolance 1/2"ID did just fine though. definately going to order some black to nice it up. Also plan on cable sleeving and improving the cable management.

my temps are:

cpu idle 35C load 49C
gpu idle 36C load 51C

pretty good
that's with the rad fans on about 55%

Let me know what you think!
Pics:

LOL! the vulcan is so much smaller than my 800D

I love the riii look. i think the ek block really accents it well, although, as you will see, you can't see the ek block well at all once the build is done

got my 120 push/pull installed here, fit very nicely with the double pass rad and 2 38mm wide Ultra Kaze 3k's

lookin' good!

since my pump has always been in the res housing, i never used the pad that came with it, figured supporting the 120 rad would be a good use for it

anothe rlook at the pad under the 120.1

lotso tubes, especially w/ the mobo block

got the 92.1 rad installed on exhaust in the back of the case there. the fan is 90cfm and LOUD

complete!

that top back corner is a cluster **** if i do say so myself. the middle tube is restricted some, but i still get decent flow.

Well! No budget?! This will be fun . I think for rads, ATLEAST a 360mm for sli'd 480s and the cpu. Nothing less. I would do 2 240's if you can fit them. For the gpu, don't buy another Sparkle (unless you can get a really good price on one), get an Evga, they have a lifetime warranty. Also, instead of getting another Koolance block, get an EK block with a backplate. EK is really steppping up their quality now a-days. For an ssd, get 2 OCZ 60Gb Vertex 2's and put them in raid 0. For wcing, I would reccomend doing just a single loop, no need for a dual. Also, get 2 more gb of ram to use the x58's triple channel. That should do it! Good luck!!!

EDIT: Also, I would personaly go for the Evga board, but Asus is great to. I just like Evga because they have a lifetime warranty, and they have great support.

Go Vulcan!

I originally had a Titan Fenrir cooler, but wanted to add a 200mm side fan. So any tall air cooler is out if you're going to do that.

I ended up getting a CoolIT ECO, but you can only mount it up front. Same with H50. But they work fine and give the big fan room to cool. I now have it as input and all other fans blowing out.

It's a small case and a cramped like they all are, but it gives you lots of options and looks so cool.

Good luck!

One question, how do you find the cable management in this case with those many components inside?

thanks

the cable management is decent. all the front panel connectors and mobo 8 pin i routed under the motherboard w/o too much hassle. as for the rest, most of the excess is behind the 120 rad. honestly, i need to clean the cable sup
