Measuring CPU Temp

Thread Starter
SpeedFan seems to be jumping around alot when measuring my CPU temp and is usually pretty far from the temp my BIOS gives me. Maybe SpeedFan isn't compatible with my system? Is there any other program for measuring CPU temp from the OS? Also, 55 C is a good temp for me, right?

No, it sounds like a BIOS problem. A lot of times, BIOSes will give you really off temp readings. Speedfan is one of the best temp monitoring programs. What are you temps? That would help you know.

It seems to have evened out now, problem seems to be over. 49 or 50 in both now. I guess SpeedFan just takes a few minutes to find a steady temp.
