I didnt realize it wont boot at all.. With my old giga board I would just unplug it and plug back in and it would boot...

If you reset cmos and it still wont boot it sound like a bad bios, or possibly something else went bad..

Do you have a speaker set up for beeps? Some times it will give a beep code that will tell you what the problem is..

pull the battery for an extended period of time. pull it out for a few days and see what happens. these 1156 gigabyte boards do strange things at times, mine needed a battery pull done for 4 days to allow dvd drives to work with it.

Kevdog, if by any means you can get in the bios, look for the "quick boot" or similar setting and turn it on. I wasted 2 complete days of my life and that little setting fixed my reboot loop.

I went and tried to update my BIOS and the EZ flash tool told me I already had version 1604 (the newest one I could find, which I was going to install). So bios isn't the issue... but the description of version 1604 on Ausus's website said something interesting:

So this implies that turbo mode, as well as some other things, are only available if I set the cpu ratio to auto. I looked in the bios and verified this. So I tried setting cpu ratio to auto and turned turbo on. Now my multiplier seems locked at 21, even under load. What gives? Why can't I get it to stay at 22 under load?

If this topic would be better for a motherboard thread, let me know and I'll take it there.
What motherboard are you using?

He had posted some time back that he wasnt going to be able to update regularly for a little while..

Kinda why I never like these threads, people upgrade, life happens, etc and the thread becomes less and less active..

For me I think its more important for us users to stay active and help new people..

I try to help when I know how, but I would agree that it has become less and less active.

When I know something that I think may be helpful I try and post, but my knowledge is more or less limited to products I own or have owned, but if its general knowledge, well it can be helpful

Well, not to be kicking a man when he is down, but I am sure glad I got this 760 when I did and opted to give SB its grace period to be more known and possibly let a few Rev get out....

Poor folks with their new hardware...
