I just studied everything about the proper overclocking with the new bios and i'm still stumped. Maybe i'm just not used how the new bios is. I feel like a douche and a noob. I know this processor has room to overclock and i never have. I'm just frustrated as it is and i have no idea if i'll have to keep replacing TIM after every test cuz i really like the tim my cooler came with and it's been perfect ever since.
Either i should pull the trigger and test it or just best leave it alone and get some faster ram to clock XMP lol.
DON'T SCREW AROUND WITH YOUR CPU, seriously, apply thin paint-like layer, and that's about as good as it will get with whatever cooler you're using.
If you don't have heat issues, don't bother.
Don't bother with xmp, or turboboost, do it manually.
Bclk around 200, probably slightly less
multiplier around 20
IMC/QPI voltage minimum 1.25v, expected 1.3v+
Vcore min 1.2v, expected 1.25v+
Disable c-states, to test, after test, enable.
Disable v-droop, until done.
Whatever ram stock speeds are, have less mhz to test 100+-, at stock voltage.
Good luck, man, don't feel bad. Pace the clocks, do not add more volts for no reason.
