I don't know much about voltages and i'm too scared to play with them. haha so any help and tips would be greatly appreciated

then slowly increase the base clock, while keeping the memory close to stock, while keeping QPI as low as possible.
Also, slowly increase the vcore as you increase the base clock. You probably won't have to increase it until you hit ~3.2Ghz
Keep the vtt voltage in check, don't go over 1.4v. ~1.2v should be good for a QPI of ~3.2ghz
Don't make your ram voltage go over 1.65v

interesting.
ok! thanks alot!
i'll have to give this stuff a try.
what kind of cooling is needed to go higher?

IBT max temps on hottest core on a Corsair H70
50c @ Stock (with Turbo)
57c @ 4.004GHz (without Turbo)
65c @ 4.074GHz (without Turbo)
82c @ 4.116GHz (without Turbo)

Also, I have found that this chip needs very little VTT voltage. That is, until you ramp up the speeds. Then it suddenly becomes a VTT voltage sucking monster.

VTT needed to be stable
1.200v @ 4.004GHz
1.225v @ 4.074GHz
1.350v @ 4.116GHz
1.225vcore @ 3.78Ghz i get a 67c with IBT max 20 passes.
Is this normal? O_o... i don't have an air-conditioned room with a room temp of around 30-32c.

depends on what you want to hit. The Cooler Master Hyper 212+ is a pretty good cooler, if you aren't wanting to hit super high clocks, and if you get it at <$30.
