Generally I use this PC as a gaming and or Video editing rig.. But notheless you can add me to the list 4.166 Ghz 16 hours prime95 stable at 1.256v vcore.

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1521880

Edit: 1.256v must be under load but while idle it is 1.288. Still don't think its that bad though.

That's a nice OC dembo. Would you mind posting your BIOS settings? I am waiting on a new bracket for my Dark Knight before attempting to OC mine. So any pointers are appreciated. Thanks.......... Denny

Thanks for the compliment. It didn't happen overnight. But i will say that the key is patience. It takes lots of trial and error and restarting change settings then more stress testing. And as for BIOS settings i'll try and give you some but they may vary depending on your board. mine is ASUS.

C1E support is disabled
max cpuid value limit is off
intel virtualization tech is off
cpu tm function is off
intel speed step is off
intel c-state tech is off
cpu ratio (multiplier) :21 (i've heard 19 and 21 work best)
full power mode is on
BCLK :197
PCIE: 100
DRAM frequency: 1576
QPI : Auto
CPU voltage (vCore):1.31875 (although it reads 1.256 and 1.288 under load and idle respectively in CPUZ)
IMC voltage is on auto ( i think this is VTT but i wasn't sure so i didn't mess with it)
DRAM voltage is on 1.36
load line calibration is on
and cpu and pcie spread spectrums are both disabled.

Hope this helps you and someone else too. anyone feel free to make suggestions to settings and clarify on those assumptions i have made like the VTT and vCore

I am having problems with my overclock.
I set my bclck to 191
Multi x21
vcore 1.4 (1.35 cpu-z)
imc 1.35
PLL 1.8

C state, speed step, turbo mode off.
With these voltages I was able to pass 10 passes of IBT on high. I thought I was stable until last night I turned off my computer and went to sleep. When I went to turn it on this morning it would just power on but not doing anything (fans on, cd rom light on) but no post. So I assume this means that I am not stable. With my vcore and imc voltages at almost max should I assume that 4.0 is not possible on my chip or is there something else I may have done wrong? as far as settings? I have seen a lot of people getting this speed with less cooling and way less voltage than me.

what is your RAM SPD multiplier? set it to lowest and try running it again. usually I encounter a no POST situation when ram timings/voltages/spd ratio is incorrect. with regards to cpu voltage, whether overvolt or undervolt, my pc still posts ang crashes during the loading of windows.

Ok, here they are:

1. BCLK = 200 (qpi/vtt @ 1.33)
2. All "C" states off. Turbo is off as well.
3. Ram multiplier is 8.
4. Power supply is a Coolermaster 550w
5. I don't have the option to adjust my uncore multi or frequency.
I do have xmp turned on, which sets my ram to run at the spec timings 999242t and 1600 Mhz (when BCLK is at 160, or 200)

llc is @ auto, and that's pretty much all I can think of.

Ok i will check the ram stuff. What will it look like in the bios. I find it weird i was running those speeds, even restarted once or twice, but when i leave it off all night it it wont post

As far as the ram speeds. I clicked one option in bios and it gave me 3 speed options and i picked the closest to 1600 without going over but i didnt see a multiplier

My ram voltage is set at 1.5 (voltage in specs)
