hmmm from: http://www.intel.com/support/process.../cs-029908.htm

if the 760 works like the 750, then two cores would be at 25 and two would be at 23. Not sure if i'm reading the chart correctly though. Either way, I don't think turboboost favors stability.

I feel that 4.8 is way high enough. I don't know what you are doing but you must need some power

just benching to find the max i can do.
i run my i5 760 24/7 on air right now at 4405.4
temps aren't the best though. 35 39 38 34 on a lapped True with push / pull yate loon's.
oh well... gonna freeze this thing soon with LN2 so won't have to worry much about temps...

sometimes i wonder if using LN2 isn't bad for the processor itself!! lol

voltage and heat kill a cpu.
with the cpu being frozen you typically don't need a lot of volts.

Nice, that would give you first place on HWBOT for the 760.

According to that chart you can either be +1 multiplier with 3 or 4 cores, or +4with 1 or 2 cores. Using that +1 turbo multiplier isn't going to cause anymore stability problems than if the multi was available as normal. In fact some BIOS's don't recognize the +1 as anything different than just another multi and you can just type it in. 22 on the other hand just has a bad track record for being stable period. Same with 20 but you won't know unless you try it. Some people actually do have good luck with 20 and 22. They would just be in the minority it seems as Intel CPU's are "known" to favor odd numbers (don't ask why I have no clue LOL), they are all individuals though.

hey i've been playing sc2 and twice i crashed with this message

e_gfxErrorOutofMemory
"StarCraft II has encountered an error. Your graphics system may be running low on available memory. Please restart your machine. If the problem persists, for more information consult our support website at http://starcraft2.com/support."

does this mean my ram, or my graphics card memory? do you think this has something to do with me overclocking my system?

thanks!

edit: maybe i need to upgrade to windows 7 64 bit?

I don't know much about the game, but judging by your graphics card i would think its referring to system RAM.. How much do you have? I would recommend at least 4 GB. But if you overclock either you Ram or graphics card ram that could be the culprit meaning its just unstable while running that game.

Try getting more ram if less that 4gb and if its overclocked try backing off on the timings a hair..

Edit: if you installed the game on xp it should be fine although do really like windows 7
