Not odd at all... Prime95 locks up on me if the system isnt stable...

Sometimes its an error one one core, then it freezes if I dont see it in time..

Sometimes its a BSOD, come back to a windows message that it had recovered from a crash...

While I agreee there are different types... There are reasons for it...

If you can set our voltage to 1.35v bios on the CPU Vcore & CPU VTT, then set it to 200 x21, run Prime and its stable with good temps. Then slowly lower volts and test til you find the lowest.

Or set voltages low, like 1.26v on each, set it to 150 x 21 and test, go up 10 at a time and test til unstable, add voltage test again...

Either way they are both timely ways to go at it...

The end result is the same, you are trying to find the best OC/voltage/temp combination...

Be sure everything is stable, you can damage your hardware running an unstable OC (meaning it fails 1 core after xx hours every time but you run it anyway)

Don't bow too low, I cheated and used 25 and a lower baseclock. Highest I could get my baseclock was 215 and it felt like threading a needle in the dark to get it that far. So my hats off to you and your awesome 218 baseclock.

Both of those look pretty nice.

whe3ls what is your batch number ? Looks like you have one of the lower VID's I've seen posted. Have you ran 4.0 yet ? Maybe I missed it. Predicting/hoping 4.0 @ 1.19v post-flame-small.gif

denny I'm waiting watching to see what you get that 4.4 stable at. I've spent some time here and there working on 4.4 but haven't had a good solid day or two to get much done with it. Good luck with it !!

my batch number is l020b503

Hello everyone at OCN, this is officially my first post here on the forums, so please be gentle. smile.gif

The general purpose of my rig is basically just gaming, not much more except for work (of course) and other things. I suppose what I'm trying to say here is that since I'm just gaming, that I might have a tiny bit more leeway on my chips OC'ing ability. Attached are my IBT benchmarks, and the usual gamut of things needed to be seen. Hopefully I can be added to the club too.

On the offside, I'd like to know yall's opinion on my overclocking, and give me some tips/advice/criticism on it. It would be very helpful biggrin.gif Also please tell me if I'm forgetting something or if I need to do anything extra.

To conclude, I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays and that I'm glad to be part of this jolly community. Thank you.
