I failed last night at 6:45 hours. Bumped the core voltage up 2 notches and ran again. Passed 11.5 hours...

Now I am trying for a higher OC...

Trust me, once you reach our max stable OC you will become bored within a month or so and start thinking about what you can do next...

This is really an addiction...

Well my latest overclock 21x 191 4.011 Ghz was stable for about 10 hours and then it had a worker failure. But its been folding for almost 29 hours and counting and its average temperature has been 69-73C. I think it should be stable for daily use until i get water cooling and can go further.

my thoughts anything that past 1 hour stable prime 95 is ok
this is why..there no way what so ever the normal pc user like myself will max out 4 cores for longer than 1 hour especially at 4.2 ghz or above

it is said that it needs to be longer or whatever but i feel different aobut it..

usually prime 24hrs 10 hours etc is for water cooling to see the max temp..

then i went into settings turn everything on max max aa max af in ccc ati 5850 is literally eating this game up..
im so surprised how diff my gaming experience is now..it looks way better and its dam smooth..
holy cow i cant believe how much a difference is..anyone reading this thread thinking about upgrade do it..best 300 i ever spent..
it makes me regret buying 775 socket as a whole..in fact I'm going put it up for sale later tonight ..

validated and screened ibt 4ghz club here i come lol

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1549235
4.2 by tomorrow i hope..ibt is killin me with 4.2

-------------------------------------------------
it as reached tonite yay

4.2ghz ibt tested as well..i need to fine tune the voltage now
4.2 was my goal..yay

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1549307

almost forgot important part
this is what it took to achieve it
i was told that you need to have turbo enabled this is how its ment to be done..
and there right it is..you have to enable it
the voltages are critical for this p55a gigabyte board
i needed 1.35v vcore for the 4.2 clock
needed 1.29 vtt <- i dont know if this is safe
pll needed 1.88
ram was stock with 99924 times and 1.5v
im going to see about dropping some of it but i doubt it

It was smooth from the start even not overclocked. That game does have low fps if you enable full AA no matter what. That's how games are. Don't expect to get 100fps if you go max on graphic settings.

61c at load for that clock.. no way.. should be 70c and more.
