Perhaps but then again it could be documented. I seen far temps than just that. Just simply no way you have lower temps at that clock.

Besides just a validation isn't proof enough. NEED MORE than that. No excuses.

check the screen shots again..thats why i made them big so i dont have to defend myself like this...

they speek for them self...im a creditable person i have no reason ta lie ..*** im only kidding myself if i was..

read it...thats intel burn test like 20 minutes massive usages on the cores..i dont know what else to say..
if you dont belive me you can run ibt then tell me the temps are false...

Not trying to start a flame war, but Ekko, you did IBT at standard, not max.

I got up to 4.4ghz on a hyper 212+ (Not stable)

Im on 4.2ghz stable everyday use. Max temps of around 72 degrees while running prime95.

Ran Prime95 4 hours and 20 loops of intelburntest at max settings. Also ran everest stability tester for 2 hours.

Pretty happy with my result. I toned my volt down to 1.35 and still stable. Seeing as i did this on a $30 cooler

Max of about 60 degrees while GAMING for an hour.

I think ill try to get more. Dont know why it wont get to 4.4 stable.

Btw if anyone is interested i used these settings. I managed to bump down my vcore voltage to 1.35 to be on the safe side. Still stable.

Gigabyte Board relevant.

Tell me if i helped you or even better rep me

i did the burn test like that because if you read what the ibt says ..
it says if you have crap ram basically you should not run the max test..
the max test runs alot of ram..

1 have 1 stick of junk 1.5v ram theres no way i wana try n stress the ram what for?

and yes pieiam +reps for you..for wanting to help..
thankyou

btw...pll 1.8 is reccomended..thats too high 1.9..i mean bench is ok..but not for 24/7 clock
1.88 works try it..

Morty is right anyways.

Intl max on the PLL is 1.98v, I have heard suggestion that it could harm at high voltage and could help stabilize if lowered..
Just a thought you may want to try. See attached graph of absolute max voltage from intel...

@ekko:
We arent trying to discredit your overclock or hinder you in anyway. Trust me, we would all like to see you run your max stable OC...

This is the problem. Just because a test like Prime will fail after 6 or 7 hours doesnt mean you need to run your system maxed to recreate that issue. If you notice these are not BSOD unstable, they are errors. Over time these errors will damage your hardware. So running at an OC that is not 100% stable is not safe and will damage your hardware...

This stuff is really fine tuning...

I've said it 1000 times, 20 passes of IBT, even at maximum is not considered stable.. Run Prime95 Blend, or OCCT Medium data set for 8+ hours....

I have it running now, trying to find my max safe, stable OC... Got this cpu on Friday, still testing....

it as reached tonite yay

4.2ghz ibt tested as well..i need to fine tune the voltage now
4.2 was my goal..yay

almost forgot important part
this is what it took to achieve it
i was told that you need to have turbo enabled this is how its ment to be done..
and there right it is..you have to enable it
the voltages are critical for this p55a gigabyte board
i needed 1.35v vcore for the 4.2 clock
needed 1.29 vtt <- i dont know if this is safe
pll needed 1.88
ram was stock with 99924 times and 1.5v
im going to see about dropping some of it but i doubt it
nice oc man. im glad i could be of any help
