I see some fellow folders in here and am looking for a few pointers
Welcome to the club. As for folding goes you will just have to be really stable. I like to run 20 runs of IBT Max and ~12 hours of Prime 95 Blend before I start folding. From there I've had it still fail while folding but it is usually pretty close. Small bump to the vcore if/when needed will usually take it from there.

HOLY CRAP the Mugen is awesome. When I first installed it my temps went down 20C to 25C and my AS5 obviously isnt cured since its brand new.

I got 4 case fans (1 will be for pull on Mugen) coming and AS5 curing lowers a few degrees whenever that happens (plox do tell). I ran ITBv2 at Max 3x (2.5GB) at 4.0Ghz and its stable however I didnt do the 1hr test or any long prime95 runs.

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1593756

I had mid-high 70's on ITB so I am going to wait to install my case fans and AS5 to cure before I do the real stress test. Plus I want to test games with my GTX470 XD

Rofl dude its almost 50% increase in CPU power PLUS I just got a GTX 470 Fermi with twin Frozr. Without OC its about 3x as good as my old card.

I OC the GTX 470 from 637/1274/???? to 800/1600/2000(4Gb) and the highest the GPU gets is mid 60's!

Im getting 75-100 FPS in BF2 FULL SETTINGS. Its so awesome.

My cpu is a bit hot at high 70's but my case fans and AS5 curing will fix that

Hey guys I got a question for you all.

I have 3.6ghz stable at 1.15V but I'd like to run that setup as a 24/7 setup since it doesn't get past 60C fully stressed, so...

What power settings should I enable? I'm a little skeptical about running this with everything disabled for 24/7. How do you guys run 24/7 OC setups? I am guessing if I do this, I should bump the voltage a little as well?

Any tips are appreciated.

Edit: Not related but I was reading a few pages back and saw this:
Quote:
VTT @ 1.10v could be dangerously low depending on your RAM Voltage. The VTT must stay within .5v of the RAM or DRAM or DIMM (sorry varies between bios) Voltage. So if your RAM is 1.65v the lowest you would want your VTT is 1.15v and since it wouldn't be uncommon for your board to overvolt the RAM Voltage a little more than what it is set to 1.20v could be even safer. Running outside of that .5v window can and will damage your Internal Memory Controller in a fairly short time span.
Am I reading right? Having too low VTT can damage something? Right now I use 1.6V for the RAM and 1.10V (default I think) for VTT for the 3.6ghz setup.

I think there is a whole thread related to overclocking and turbo and such, its a really in depth process, trying to figure out what it will bump it to and stuff like that. Search around for that thread. But you could just enable sleep mode for the ultimate energy savings.

And if your ram is at 1.6v i would set the VTT to like 1.1v just to be safe, keep ram voltage and VTT voltage no more than 1.5v apart.

I'm using an SSD right now so I don't use sleep mode at all, if I need it to idle I log off to let TRIM/GC kick in.

Are you saying I should use Turbo for a 24/7 setup, what's the advantage in doing that? There's also also features like EIST and C states so I'm just curious what people use.

He means no more than .5v apart... Ram at 1.60v - vtt @ 1.10v or higher...
