The i5-760 OC Club - Page 99

Finally made it to 4.0ghz.

Wasn't really able to do it with the cooler master 212+. Although a great cooler, I was getting high 70's pushing for 4g's.

My new cooler (below) works like a charm.

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1602133

Vcore @ 1.33750
QPI @ 1.29o
PLL @ 1.86 ( I read that this is good to help the voltages and frequencies stay more "in sync" with each other, so I just raised it by one small increment.)

Idle: low to mid 30's
Load : high 60's, mid 70's with intelburntest. That torture can sure pump a lot more work in to the cpu than anything else, really.

Haven't done extensive amounts of stability testing which I plan to do soon... lol.

I notice in your System spec you have Mushkin Blackline 1600's too!

Have you tried to OC them At all?

Mine are 1600 rated @ 8-8-8-24 but I oclocked the Shiz out of em to 2000 @ 8-10-9-27

Someone gave me a link to a thread on this forum where someone had tried to overclock them.. I was going to stick with their results of 1.45v and the got lower timings and i think about 1760 or something on the speed.. But until I get some water for my kit, I don't know what i'll be able to get them to do. I was being very limited by heat on my CPU... I was at 4GHz reaching temps of about 85-90C..

Oooh Thats a little on the hot side , no wonder your going H2O. So you got the ram down to 1.45 volts , what timings did you net with that config?

Yea those are some nice timings. Forgot to add My Ram OC is at stock volts 1.65 didn't need more juice to hit 2000Mhz which I thought was ace.
