Hi all, first time I've posted a Build log so here goes..

I plan on giving my rig a major overhaul. I mainly game but I want something that will give me options for a long time, with premium craftsmanship.

Components to be Purchased:

CPU -- Intel Core i7 930 2.80GHz (Bloomfield) (Socket LGA1366) - Retail [BX80601930]
MOBO -- Asus Rampage III Extreme Intel X58 (Socket 1366) DDR3 Motherboard [90-MIBC10-G0EAY00Z]
RAM -- Patriot Viper 2 Sector 7 6GB (3x2GB) PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Triple Channel Memory Kit [PV736G1600LLK]
SSD -- OCZ Vertex 2E 60GB 2.5" SATA-II Solid State Hard Drive (OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G) -- Boot drive
CPU COOLER -- Corsair H50-1 High-Performance CPU Watercooler (Socket LGA775/1156/1366/AM2/AM3) [CWH50-1]
CASE -- NZXT Phantom Enthusiast Full Tower Case - White

CASE/CABLE mods:
NZXT LED Cable 200cm White
NZXT 6 Pin PCI-E White Sleeved 25cm Extension Cable x2
NZXT 24-Pin ATX White Sleeved 25cm Extension Cable

£860 or thereabouts..

Components I already own:

Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5850 1024MB -- GPU
Coolermaster Real Power 850W -- PSU
1x WD 250GB -- HDD
1x WD 300GB -- HDD
2x DVDRW's SATA II -- Optical drives

In the future I plan on getting some better fans for the H50, Gentle Typhoon's? or Akasa Apache blacks 120mm.

I'll be aiming for 3.8-4Ghz OC on the i7 also.

This is currently what I have planned, I'd like to keep this below £900. Any thoughts would be appreciated, but I'm pretty dead set on this config.

When I start purchasing parts and putting this beast together, I'll add pictures!

I aim for it to look like the picture below but a ati 5850 (red side), black psu.

I would go for a Megahalems cooler or Venomous X, it will be cheaper and get better temps, unless you have a small case - otherwise looks like a great build! Love my Rampage III Formula, and I'm going to go with a SSD soon

Thanks for the input I wonder is the Rampage III Formula cheaper? I ask because I didn't see it on the site I'm purchasing from.

The Mega is indeed around £18 cheaper than the H50-1.

I'm just thinking with this H50-1 All in one WC'er I can set up a push/pull with more case airflow without a huge heatsink in the way, though that may sound daft lol plus if your like me you even have to clean the heatsink tower every so often, whereas with the H50-1 it should be less hassle.

Also considering the NZXT Phantom Ethusiast case is Full tower and roomy, I'm sure I could fit either solution.
