voltage breaking point

I overheard from someone that once you reach 1.6v on your athlon64 processors you fry and destroy your processor. Is that true?

The reason i asked is i pumped mine and its dangerously close at 1.595v.

It wont Literally Fry straight away but Temps will go up alot and you will be causing damage to the Cpu so try and stay away from 1.6 max 1 wold say 1.55 you should aim as your max to leave some safety headroom.

you may be interested in look at this chart and figure out how much voltage you should apply...

i found this chart from here
you should concern about heat issue from your high voltage now.

Well changing the Volts to go higher to obtain a better overclock isnt a bad thing you really just have to watch out for your Tempratures.
