I was thinking about getting water cooling,

http://www.overclock.net/water-cooli...uld-i-get.html

And I figured that its too expensive for how good it cools. Well now I am thinking of getting different air cooling.
Probably the BT, XP-90c, or one of the zalmans. Will I see any improvement? you can see what I have in the avatar.

I also did some lapping, my temps vary on how loud do I want it to be. I dont overclock all the time. I just overclock for benchmarks and sometimes games.

my idle temps when case is open
low rpm-38
high rpm-32
idle case closed
low rpm-40
high rpm- 33

load
just add like 1-8 degrees to everything

well, I just figured that on our school internet I cant upload images, so here is one from my previous post

If you are going to upgrade I would go with the XP-90c I have never heard a word against the XP-90c.

Unless your pushing some really serious clocks high air cooling in this generation is more than capable of dropping alot of numbers off your temps........

If BT stands for Big Typhoon I would have to say that one, I have seen lots of posts with people ranting about this product, it is favoured by many as one of the best high air coolers and for cost you can hardly argue

LMAO, "Just add like 1-8 degrees to everything," 33C isn't bad for load if that is true.

If those are your temps then I don't think you need a new HSF.

Yea, I guess if you are going all out on a HSF you mide aswell go with it. I guess my bias towards the xp-90c was showing.

well my class just ended and I didnt have time to finish typing,

those temps I said before were just estimates, here are the ones that I actually recorded. Sorry for not being accurate in the first post. I had the temps on my desktop, and now I got them of from there (remote desktop). Also note that I applied artic silver like 3 days ago so I guess its going to get even cooler.

Open:
idle=30.5-32.5
load=34

Closed:
idle=33.5
load=35

idle low noise=35.5
load low noise=42

My ambient temp when I tested was 72f
