Good fan choice or no? - Page 2

Get Fan damber kits on both side of the fan and if possiable run a little slower. But that thing is crazy for air I would just get something that pumps like 80 cfm so like a 120mm that runs under 40 db plus the kits i told you about. and it should cool and be quiet

According to this review (which I like for its precision but don't like the somewhat uneven c/w scores...), the xp-120 improves cooling potential as rpm (and cfm) increase. Note: the delta in the charts is a 72cfm@2100rpm@34dBa. You will have about THREE times the cfm.

Expect insane results. Also, I'd be *very* interested in devising a cheap shroud...it works wonders (up to 40%, scroll down) on radiators, so why not the same results on, well, radiators known as heatsinks?

EDIT: Unlike many other posts, I do recognize that you said you cared nothing about noise. I took it literally. Many of you guys are still stuck on "I'd get something a bit tamer", but the guy wants a beast!

I use this panaflo on my XP-120:

45dB / 115CFM.

Not too shabby for $16.99

yea i have that too and its quiet while it moves 110cfm its a good fan. i had to drill holes on my fan speed controller to bolt it in the floppy bay tho cuz it didnt have any lol and all my friends that have that same fan theres came with holes...
