The new CPU will be manufactured by the 65nm process, allowing it to run cooler. Also, as more chips will fit onto a wafer, prices could go down

This is crap, their not going to make the cpu faster, all microsoft is going to do is optimize the production of the 360 so that it will be cheaper to produce and then they can issue price drops on the holiday sesons.

You can see this on the xbox 1. v1.0 had fans on the cpu/gpu and after 1.2 they were replaced with heat sinks. Also video and audio chips were replaced and other stuff was done too.

This is what microsoft did in xbox 1 and will do in 360 aswell, they shop around for the best deal in parts and they do revisions as avalibility of new parts is presented.

Their not going to chage the cpu...

It has to be said they did change alot of parts in the different revisions of the Xbox to cheaper parts so that technically the company could make the product at cheaper costs.

Like OhMagic said, this is just a manufacturing improvement that will lower production costs. The functionality of the X360 itself will not change one bit, except potentially to lower power requirements a bit. So no, people will not be hacked off, every console does this type of improvement.

The CPU will still run at 3.2GHz and have 1MB L2 cache. Nothing is changing besides the die shrink to 65nm.
