Btw, the specs for the 6970 is 1536 shaders, 880mhz core clock. Memory at 1375mhz.
6950 is 1408 shaders, 800 core clock, don't remember memory.

So it does not beat the NV580... bummer. the dual version will but the cost will kill. I think I will start saving now and maybe by next X-mas I can buy a NV580.

ALSO still TSMC 40nm, I am rather sad that they didn't drop tpo 32nm or were not able to yet.

how the 6950 has way more shaders than the 6870 but performance isn't that far apart?
