Ignore WEI like the rest of us, and use a REAL hard drive benchmark such as HDTune
. If you want to know other performances (such as GPU / CPU / Memory) then run 3DMark or games / Pi calculations (forget the name) / Everest Memory bench. All are MUCH more accurate, and give you actual numbers that you can use to compare. Numbers that actually mean something.
Again, I apologize if I came off rude at first. But I'm sure you can see (now) why I was calling out your claims

As far as WEI is concerned, 13.3 and 15.6 are the same. Again, this is why WEI is such a POOR assessment for speed.
The WD Blacks ARE considerably faster (the 1TB+ drives with 500GB platters) over the F3's. The access time is what matters on snappiness....hence why SSD's are so popular with 0.1ms access times.
The Sammy F3's are so popular because of their bang for the buck. Fast access times, and THE FASTEST read / write speeds of any mechanical drive to date (that I know of). The WD Black 2TB might be faster now, can't remember. The WD Blacks are faster slightly in access time, and even better in a short stroked RAID. But the bang per buck of the F3's is just too good at $55-60 a pop.
