It's OK but it's not a 600W unit. Assume it's more like a ~500W unit. I'd say go for a good 650W if you want two 6870s.

Its a waste of money - its overrated by like 100W.

Corsair HX650, Antec TruePower New 650W, Seasonic X Series 650W. Pick any of those.

Heck, the good old tx650 will beat it hands down, and is cheaper if you don't mind non-modular.

Fusion Racing them 3 cost from £100-£130, so are way out of my price range,

allikat i was thinking of the TX650, as its £60, so in my price range,
but i read its to old?

Is there any more that will do the job, for about £60?

Thanks all.

The TX650W is old now and surpassed by some newer units, although its still a good PSU. That said for what you're using it for and with your budget it would actually be a pretty decent purchase. At least it can do the wattage its rated for too.

This XFX is pretty good too I believe. There is also the 650W XXX which is modular but has a few issues.

I would go for the tx650. I have bought it for my Xmas build and im not regreating it! It was by far the best I could get for 60 so I went for it. Yes its old, but how much has PSU technology really changed? Only the efficiency as far as I can tell :/. And it also has 5 year warranty (got mine from scan.co.UK)

Efficiency and voltage regulation are the big two that are always improving. Obviously as they make things more efficient they run cooler and quieter too - usually the case anyway. I believe the TX650W was one of the better TX PSU's, its the 750 and the 850 that aren't as good.

I'd say go for it if you can get one that cheap, its actually a good buy then.
