If you were anywhere near me, I have a modified Antec TruePower 550 in the closet I'd be happy to let you borrow & test with. AK is a bit of a drive for me, though.

It's NOT the power supply. Replaced the Antec 550 TruePower with Two, count them, TWO! Different PS, one was a 650 watt, no change. 20 to 40 minutes of normal running then BAM! No more. The computer dies. becomes unresponsive, the screen even becomes word less, the icons go blank.

100% certain i is a power problem...check the stability of your PSu first by using a multimeter. If there is any variance more than 10% on your rails...i would call that thing defective....

Microsoft thinks its a cacheable read write error or someother bs like that. I followed everything they suggested, but nada, just do do. And to the guys who thought it's the PS, "I WISH IT WAS that easy"

Got a multimeter? Something may be shorting out? Try using different startup/reset buttons. Those can go bad..always do a cmos reset.

Yes I do have and used a FLUKE multimeter, the weirdest issue here is it can't recognize a program as valid OR the screens words disappear, NOT the background, just the words. Then the whole shmo goes unresponsive and I have a big pile of do do. And to recap, I've changed PS, memory, OS, MOBO, hard drives, cpu-cooler, cables, video card, EVERYTHING except the $954.00 CPU, the case, sound card, mouse, fans, keyboard, and monitor.
