eVGA 6600GT agp cooler? - Page 2

When it comes to overclocking, the AGP 6600 GT is not as good as the PCI-Ex16 version, it has to do that most of them come with a 900mhz memory instead of the 1000mhz in the PCI-Ex16.

So the 3rd party cooler may or may not help.

I just got a Zalman vf700-cu cooler for my gigabyte 6600gt card. Straight after installing it I didn't notice any difference in temp but after a couple of days my temp is now at 50.c at load instead of 70.c. now I can run it stable with no artifacting at 570/1130. I can get it up to 600/1125 but the artifacting starts to show.

I would recommend the vf700-cu for a 6600gt graphics card as I asked the same question before getting a new cooler and it seemed to be the most suitable. It does the job quite well and it also can fit onto a 660gt pcix card

The vf700 is your best bet. it dropped my load temperature to 60C from 80C. It also has two speed options, 5V if you want it silent and 12V to get the most out of it.

Got a Chaintech 6600GT AGP w/Vantec Iceberg 5 running at 43ºC idle and 53ºC load. I would just like to know if you can unlock any pipes on the 6600GT's, or am I just dreaming?
