Current settings:

HTT: 3x
FSB: 250
vCore: 1.71
vDIMM: 2.7
Multi: 10
Mem timings: 3-4-4-8-1T

But, that's on some serious water cooling. I got to 2.35 on air.

Air Cooled Settings:

HTT: 3x
FSB: 235
vCore: 1.62
vDIMM: 2.7
Multi: 10
Mem timings: 3-4-4-8-1T

If you can't change your vCore, there's not much to do on a NewCastle.

For your ram I would say like 3-3-3-6 in till you get some true overclocking ram

I got 2.7 with 1.4 vcore but a different socket

OK, in your BIOS, under Advanced Chipset Setup/Features enter DRAM Configuration. Set your HT Speed to 600MHz. Set DDR Timing to Manual and set Max Memclock to 200. If there's other timing adjustments there set for 3-3-3-6 or 3-4-4-8 if it's not stable. Then go to Frequency and Voltage Control and set CPU clock to 230 and DIMM Voltage Adjust to 2.65 or so.

FSB and Vdimm voltage...
my vdimm voltage is all the way up 2.65v...
anyone?
Sound like your RAM is the problem. Run it on a divider so you can get higher CPU clocks without having instability in your RAM. Are you running MemCheck?

BTW, I have my s754 3000+ to 2.5GHz also.
