i dont think underclocking has any bad concepts besides not having as much juice, im new to overclocking too tho, but thats just my 2 cents

i didnt mean it like that..my card is stock at 300/700 and when you are overclocking it there is a button on the side that says the optimal oc speeds..on mine it it..398/898..currently my card is overclocked to 395/895 and i wanted to know if it is safe to push it passed that 398/898 mark..sorry i didnt explain it better..

That optimal frequencies is a bit tricky. I used that for my GS and that thing gave me 533/1207 for the first time, I thought "wow!" this thing has more room for overclocking and so I tried but failed with a few more mhz for RAM and GPU, so I let it run like that and when it came down for 3DMark, I had artifacts in some benches but it wasn't that bad.

Turns out that I needed to underclock from the "optimal freq.", down to 500/1200 and now no artifacts during 3Dmarks.

It has been the contrary for previous cards where the "optimal freq." was too low and I ended up getting a few more mhz before artifacs during 3DMarks, so a bit sneaky trick if you ask me.

Clock it as high as you can till starts artifacting, then lower it till it's gone and set it that way.
