I dunno, i have a somewhat love/hate thing going on with this game.
Dunno why people complain too much about the car control. It takes time to master the handling/drifting, but OTOH... there are some cars(forgot their names) that are just flat out terrible in handling. These are the low to mid end cars that you unlock as you continue the [racer] career. But there are cars like the Carrerra GT ; which is ultra smooth and have such a nice steering movement that you shouldn't even be crying. And if you do cry, it's because you just suck at driving or making turns.
The Career is kinda forgettable. You get nice rides and get do a-lot of stuff, but it just feels plain and bland cause there's no plot, no story, just all out driving and so called "status ranks" It just feels like the company didn't even bother giving us something entertaining. They just slap you with the typical time trails and and flat racing with excruciating load times for whenever you unlock a new car or when you level up or something, it's really really annoying.
The Multiplayer is fun, but servers and auto log is kind of a joke some of time(never tried 360 or Pc servers so MMV) Some maps (the wood one especially) give you a nostalgia moment, but some maps are just meh. There's no social attachment or something you can really care for. That's how these maps are created : To simply race and drive, nothing more, nothing less. There was 1 good night map(The Carrerra GT time trial) that had lots of thunderstorms and great visuals on the sky, but the shortcuts were just awful.
What they need to do is make a remake of NFS: Most Wanted and improve upon it. Make it exclusive for pc only. Give it 8x AA that GTX 460 cards(and similar) would handle with no sweat. Make the story somewhat similar like Most Wanted: but longer and more epicer with more challenging levels and extra side missions or free roaming with extra stuff you can do or collect.
just whatever. It's still a pretty cool game, but i am some-what disapoint. Just give me an improved Most Wanted. Is that too much to ask for? jeeez.
