I say you take the motherboard out, an look for damage/burnt marks.
Even if there aren't any visable signs of damage, the motherboard could still be dead though.
And yeah, the motherboard would beep if the CPU were dead.

Wow this sounds like what happened to me last year with my amd athlon i cant remeber i think it was a 3200 thats what it was clocked to but fans went on and off but my fans stayed on and nothing else worked.

Okay, I'm 'boutta go buy a new motherboard... Heck, if it aint the problem then I'm going to have a spare computer

This one aint gon' be too expensive since the fundage is limited.

bump... Okay, well I got the new mobo in and STILL doing this. Processor??? I cant keep shelling out $$$ on these extra parts lol (i've a spare mobo and a spare psu lol)

No that's the thing, it wasn't OCd. I had plans to do so in the future but my cheapy mobo wouldn't allow much of that. I was planning on it, you know, getting the cooling down and all.
Well I just ordered a CPU on the egg. *sigh* Wish I could've posted in the wanted section on here see if I could've gotten a better deal.

Well after a new motherboard, new CPU and a new PSU... It still does not work. Doing the same damned thing.

So I took it out of the case, set the mobo on a box and tried it now just the orange LED on the mobo lights up... Still doing nothing. dubya-tee-eff?
