Not yet, still dont have the rest of the monitors, already called and said some "nice" words to the distributor on tuesday, they promised that they will be here till the end of this week. And more supply problems with the 32" TV, that got bumped from coming in this week to coming in next week as well.

On another note, we started working around the room where all this will be put in, so there is a good chance that if Im allowed to take pictures of the actual monitor wall and how it looks like in the end, those will start coming soon.

Some reading material: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...70,2422-8.html

"DisplayPort is actually the enabler behind all of this. Unlike DVI, DisplayPort doesn’t require a dedicated clocking source for each output."
"Eyefinity, taps Cypress’ two internal clocking sources, plus one of the DisplayPort pipelines, to yield its three independent display outputs."

So we know for a fact that if we use a DP monitor, the card will drive 3 monitros without any adapters or anything. All that the adapter cable is doing is changing the DP signal to a DVI signal, i explained all this already.

Eyefinity on an 5450 card (exactly what im using) http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...5450,2549.html

So what are we actually talking about here, because after rereading all your posts, i just dont understand you...
Eyefinity IS something you can disable and enable

Basically, all eyefinity cards allow you to connect 3 monitors in 2 DIFFERENT WAYS

1: Normal extended mode, all monitors are separate and can have different resolutions and refresh rates.

2: Eyefinity, all monitors are seen as one big monitor, all must have the same resolution and refresh rate....

Enabling eyefinity will enable #2, and disabling will enable #1.

Eyefinity is a technology, not a software feature. What you are talking about is monitor grouping. You can group monitors connected to the same graphics card, ie: if you have 4 graphics cards instead of having your OS think you have 12x 1920x1200 monitors, your OS will think you have 4x 5760x1200 monitors, that is not eyefinity, that is monitor grouping.

In your case, enabling monitor grouping will enable #2, while having monitor grouping disabled will get you #1. Both nVidia and ATI drivers support monitor grouping as a software feature, Eyefinity however is the technology which provides hardware capabilities to connect 3 monitors to a single GFX card, which ATI can do, but nVidia cant yet.

But since im already here, a little teaser with the 4 monitors I have for now:

This build is still very much alive, but as its a work build log, the time I can sink into it depends on the priorities of my boss. I'll see if I can get you guys an update on monday

@lester

No. I don't know what you are talking about. I was confused about the terms. Tomaskir seems to be right.
Besides, this is a very interesting work log.. I want to see the end result
