I saw in the image (and someone posted) that he bought dual channel RAM for a triple channel board. I didn't know those were compatible?

Someone please do correct me if I'm wrong, but surely installing dual channel RAM into a tri-channel board would be no different than just installing a single stick into a dual-channel board?

I'm pretty sure it works, he just won't get the advantage of tri-channel which isn't much to brag about.

Nice Rig btw, but I have a feeling you'll be switching that 5770 out soon. I bought mine for the same reason you got yours, but now that I've saved up a bit of money it's time to get something that can run crysis with some AA!

Are you building this mostly for games?

I'm building for gaming/ never having to wait on things I shouldn't be waiting on (SUCH AS POWER POINT DX) again. I'm only going to be running at like 1600 x 1050... no cash for 1920 x 1080.

I'll be building the rig this Wednesday, when my MoBo comes!

I bought a cheap one for my build 2 years ago...since then have lost it when making changes to my pc...now i just touch metal part of the case b4 touching anything else...
