Thread Starter
hi i just got an asus a8n32sli a couple days ago and having problems with it..got it installed booted to install windows..got a blue screen screen stop error ok did it several times all different from the disable video cache to the hard drive so i took out my audigy 2 for some reason the sound card gave the stop error about the the disable video cache or some crap but i know the card is good i start the installation boom the bios is not acpi compliant even though its 1103 the latest i believe so i try again but push f7 at the raid setup part so it goes ok from there after lots of blue screens and reboots..i get into windows finally with a few errors ...i installed sp2 video drivers everything went ok but i couldnt install asus live update kept given the(biosinfo.dll) error and the usb 2.0 drivers wouldnt install it would say service pack 1 and later already has them even though in my device manager the usb controller had the yellow question mark on it...then everytime i reboot it reboots once by itself when almost to windows but then it goes into windows i noticed this almost every time but it never rebooted by itself when i was acually in windows seemed very stable just once every restart weird...tried memory in all different slots they seem to be ok..i have a new silverstone 560 watt zeus it looks good and a evga 7900gt it looks ok too it ran in the 40 to 50 degree range i dont know what it could be...im sending motherboard rma...has anyone had the problem with the asus board any help would be appreciated...

Well I can't tell you that the usb drivers come with sp2 so you don't have to install them

guess ill just try a slipstream sp2 version of xp when i get my new board in and why woundnt asus live update install kepy giving the no asus motherboard found and some errors in chinese plus a biosinfo.dll error and ive read you have to delete some key in local machine about wow64 or awow or something anyway didnt have that key anywhere ..also kept rebooting on every restart but never restarted if i was acually inside windows is the board overclocking my memory or cpu at stock maybe?

The slipstream method is best.
Did you have all the necessary power connectors to the MB installed?

yes 12volt power and the eps atx connector was good..also i think my temps were messed up even though it was the latest bios my cpu temp was 40 idle and memory was 40 degrees c* i know my memory should be at most 10 degrees lower than my cpu but both were 40 strange..
