I used a combination of a razerblade and sandpaper to get the 4 that aren't on my card cleaned off. I cleaned the other 4 off pretty well before putting them on my 7800GT... but the sandpaper did the trick and got all the sticky off.

now, I just need to get some more RAMsinks. I have 8, but I think I'm going to need all of them for the memory on my 7900GT, but I hear there are a couple IC's on the back of the cards that get pretty warm w/ the vmod so I'll need a couple sinks for them... so I'm 2 short. I just need to find the cheapest place to get some. as long as I get a pack I may just put a couple on my TV tuner card in my HTPC, I hear they get warm too

Awesome, I pulled that idea out of nowhere, I didn't think it would work out that well. The peanut butter one I've heard before but I didn't remember it at the time.

yeah, well I cleaned 4 RAMsinks and it gummed up a piece of sandpaper. I actually thought about that when I was trying to clean them last time but was too lazy to go find some sandpaper... then I forgot all about that when I posted. so when you brought it up I figured I better go find some sandpaper... lol
