It depends on the fan you buy, so if you buy a silent fan they will both be as silent as the fan you buy. The heatsink is just a hunk of metal lol

i ran the thermaltake spark 7 xaser edition when i had my 478 setup. It got fairly loud but was a GREAT cooler.

I highly suggest the XP90. Although it may not be the "best", but it is very small and compact and can fit into almost ANY motherboard and case. It is very easy to install too (you don't even need to take off the motherboard completely, since you will have to do this when installing a Big Typhoon). The XP90 is a very nice cooler and I love it. If you are unsure if you can fit those other big heatsinks, I strongly suggest you get the XP90.

the Thermalright SI-120 was recommended to me by a person from AT. from reviews it looks like a lighter, better version then the XP-120.
