I used 120 to take material off the IHS to make it thinner, get the HSF closer to the die without taking the IHS off. I then went to 400 then 600 then 1000 then 2000 to finish it, took me a VERY long time to do the CPU and HSF, but look at the results, 25C idle 36-38C load depending on ambient temperature, it's cold here today so I have 35C load.

I just ....removed the IHS on my dual socket Opteron. It was like 5-10 mintues. Gave me 5-10C off.
