High Precision Event Timer

Thread Starter
Well i have been looking around my BIOS to find this option but i cannot find it anywhere!! i have a crosshair iii mobo and i want to get my DPC latency lower (it is at 150ish atm but people who have disabled HPET are getting around 5 and notice a big difference in gaming) i have disabled it and uninstalled it from the device manager but my DPC latency stays the same.
can anyone tell me how to disable it?
thanks

Some BIOS don't give you an option for it.

For Asus boards try disabling ACPI 2.0 to disable the HPET.
