A couple of quick questions
One, I noticed in your original thread showing this case that you had a sound level meter in the background, I am curious to know just how loud (or quiet) this units run?
Two, I read recently that you were looking into a power adapter (230v3Ø@50hz -> 120v3Ø@60hz) so you could build and test US Compliant units if the demand was high enough has anything come of this yet, or is the demand not there?

Hi.

Sorry for late replay. We are actually ordered that adapter already and we are getting it in a few weeks.

On those units is around 100CFM fan on condensor and some low speed fan on the backside.

When case is closed it is not that loud.

Kind Regards

When Tom's Hardware tried to do a 5 ghz phase change build they had massive problems with condensation, hence my curiosity as to how you solved this problem. Are your users able to run 24/7 for weeks at a time?

Another question : cost effectiveness wise, it doesn't make sense to do phase unless you already have an SR-2 with dual hexacore CPUs, right? Phase is expensive and CPU upgrades give more bang for the buck unless you already have the best CPUs money can buy and you still want more performance.

With dual 6 cores overclocked, the system puts out a lot more heat than just one CPU. How do you beef up the chiller for the dual cpu version? Roughly how much does this raise the cost of the build?
I must say that I totally and 100% agree with your statement.

Generally speaking, condensation will always remain a problem in phasing if not operated in a dedicated environment. Now in this particular case and for the system above I'm not at all involved or have any prior knowledge about it in order to be able to fully present any actual facts. Maybe the pressure and work load of this particular system is much more tweaked and adjusted for a more general condition use than that of Tom's Hardware's set up, or perhaps the team never cared enough to prepare their system adequately before putting the set up in a full scale testing panel. Also I'm not familiar with the kind of speed in pure MHz the available customers are actually getting out of their system samples.

Apart from that, just like you said, I think phasing is only interesting and for that matter should only be attempted if you already own an exclusive high-end system and component parts which you care to push ever further, since anything but at least a hexa core CPU would not benefit at all in such way that it would become cost effective. A more traditional but sensitively hand-picked and refined pure WC system should be a better choice in my opinion.

Nevertheless, I'm actually getting pretty fond of the Red colored non-phased chassis, the regular one I mean! It looks very neat, professionally made, spacious, SR2 compatible, could be used with both 360 or even a 480 radiotor, 2 PSU:s... very nice indeed, definitely a pretty unique exterior and interior design

I also live in Europe with 230V out of the outlet socket so I don't have to worry about any power adapters being applied... hum, I really have to give this a serious thought, very nice and practical looking... otherwise I practically had made up my mind to get a Mountain Mods case but this one sure seems like a pretty good alternative I must admit! Will definitely check out the pics provided some additional rounds again soon...

I think there is a non-hexacore application for these in CAD software - the sourcecode does not utilize multithreading for what I assume are valid limitations - from what I have seen, for 3D virtual models it is nice to have single core performance (of quad cores) over 4Ghz and memory clock timings around 7 clocks and speeds around 2000Mhz.

You should do a double wide cube style version with 2 headed phase for dual system phase... or better yet go nuclear and 2 double wide dual phase unit version.. also you should offer it brushed colors
