Elder Scrolls, Oblivion looks great, makes X1900 XTX squeal - Page 2

I am waiting for their next architecture. If it runs cooler and their cooling formfactor is not noisy then I will make the move. Performance wise, they were much the same but the ATi graphics quality was better and the ability to run AA/HDR would have made the deal and it would have been my decision on my last purchase (7900GTX) for my wife but it was far too noisy and hot for our liking.

One can add the esthetics of a product to their choice of purchasing. Look at how many people buy cases with windows, products with flashing lights etc.

I liked the look of the 7800GTX's fan assembly as well as its performance.

Both companys suck... They are stupid... Why dont they follow simple thermodynamics when building a card.. DUH.. Heat rises so flip that puppy over and put the core and heatsink on top. that would be good for a few degreez. and last time I checked there is a open slot on 85% of cases so guess what. Dual cooling solutions work pretty fine. just notch a spot out for the Memory modules on the mobo.

That will be part of BTX I think mayeb that is one good thing about BTX.

It has to be said they Put The HSF in a very Illogical place. then again they would have to Cool the Ramchips somehow then.

Also thank Spookedjunglist for Removing the Offensive threads as such.
