works great so far but check out those temps

Well so far so good I decreased vcore to 1.3 and it still run fine so far looks like I can start doing some voltage tweaks any methods for this or is it just fill in, test and see for yourself

UPDATE:

prime95 still running fine @ these settings with max temp of 80c
you guys think temp is fine or what can I do to reduce it... seems like if I lower the vcore I get random freeze

Ok so prime95 is still passing everything its running now for 2 hours seems like its quit stable max temp is 80c this is reasonable right ?

Gonna let prime run for 3 more hours so it run 5 hours total is this enough to see if the cpu overclock is reliable or should I run another tool such as linx

UPDATE: include a pic

Looks good, now try for a 12+ Test in Prime95. If it passes, lower the voltage some more til you are unstable.

looks good, just do not go over 80-85c. Try linx or ibt for hours, those two tests create more heat, and many people after running 24= hours of prime, run a few hours of linx and it fails. Stability is objective, as 2-4 hours prime stable might be just fine for you, people who fold or do more intensive work should do more extensive torture testing.

One quick question the spot you plugged the h50 pump in is it constant 12 volts? or is it throttled by cpu or something else?
there usually is a bios setting for the motherboard jumpers to have them run full boar all the time id suggest doing that and running higher cfm/rpm fans, your temps will decrease...For instance i run mine with 2 thermaltake thunderblade 95 cm fans my 1055t is at 4.003, and max temp ive ever seen is 45c i know intel runs hotter but before the switch it used to almost be at amd's thermal limit the fans dropped alooot of heat. And what way is your radiator and h50 block? upside down or both lvl?

the H50 was never meant to handle the heat of a i7 900 series cpu, most do hit about 80c, nothing odd about this case.

Hey I have a set up very similar to yours except that I have the H70, G.Skill PI CL6 3X2GB RAM and a Seagate HDD. I'm trying to get it to 4ghz. I was wondering whether you were successful and if you could post an update on your settings you used to OC your CPU? Any advice would be great.

I tried your settings to get it to 4ghz but it wouldn't boot up. I'm guessing it needs more voltage/QPI.

Did you ever enable your HT? My system is currently stable at 3.8ghz but reaches 80 degrees when I test it with prime. How where you able to keep your temperatures low?
Thread Starter
well HT is on all the time cause imo it is a function you payed for so why disable it.

So it passed linx and prime95 but today I started my computer and when I logged on to windows I got some weird artifacts and when I set to manufacture settings its ok any ideas what is the cause of this ?
