One of the largest online Apple dealers, MacMall, has announced that it is now shipping iMacs, MacBook Pros and Mac Minis with a choice of Windows XP Home or Windows XP Pro pre-installed as an option. According to both MacMall's website and Apple's online store, a identically configured 1.83GHz Core Duo MacBook Pro can be pre-installed with Windows XP Professional for $100 -- which is actually a discount.

I remember reading about this about two weeks ago in USA Today. Sounds pretty cool. Sounded like in the future theres going to be a program that lets to switch between the two, b/c as of right now once XP in open you cannot go back and use OSX. I'm dissipointed in Apple though, I see them turning into a company like Dell, HP, etc,,,since there now using Intel chips and the ability to use Windows now. I hope, however, they contiue to provide the great Apple software and an alternative to Windows.

Hopefully Apple and Microsoft can work together and make a greater OS that will be user friendly (Windows) and stable as a rock (OSX), i think it would be so nice to see that seeing that windows has some bugs, but maybe that what you get for having such a user friendly OS
