Also be sure you rinse the paper regularly if it gets to dirty while your doing your work on it.

I used a lasercut sheet of acrylic glass. As long as the surface is flat there shouldn't be a problem.

Good tip, that actually works, i did it on a slab of aluminum that I'm going to make my fan grill with.

Acrylic glass is not flat, any metal surface should be checked first, half of the time it is not flat, glass on the other hand is the flatest surface that I've come across.

Your wrong. The xp-120's bottom is nickel plated copper, and everything else is aluminum. Unless they decided to color aluminum a copper color

I went to autozone and bought an assortment pack that came with 1 square of p220, 1 square of p400, and 2 squares of p800. then I bought a pack of p600. Total price: $6.87

Wow I'm surprised nobody said this yet:

Just get this kit from easypckits. It comes with everything you need and really good instructions too. I know mine worked well.

EDIT: Nevermind, it seems you've already bought something

Why not? Just drop me an email, there isn't much I can't work with someone on. I'm here to help.

PS - you're in the Greenville area? I have folks who lived in Abbeville for a long time, and now Honea Path and Due West. :-)
