Urgh, must you go SPL? If you decided on SQ, you could just get a nice PG RSDC10 (or something comparable) in a cubic foot or so box.

Why not go SQL and get the best of both worlds?

Sorry for such a late response... but so far I asked my dad on what he thought about raising the back seat and he wasn't too fond of that idea. He basically said wait till Christmas for now. I told him I would like to plan things out before Christmas so I know what I had to work with... But I guess I will have to wait till then.

I will keep you updated as soon as possible but I've been getting swamped with school work.

Let me know what your total mounting depth is, and total box size available per woofer. What you're doing for head unit, speakers, and amplifying speakers....then we'll talk .
^^ hmm You should avoid them if you don't have a good way to get them at cheap costs.
JL subs are good, if you get the right ones. They are good brand. If you're buying them retail they are overpriced. But if you can get a good deal on them, they are worth it.

I use to have 3x JL 10w6's (first gen)

I use to work installing car audio. Pioneerisloud seems to know what he's talking about.

RE subs are good. I usually upgrade the alternator before adding another battery. You should get a kinetik battery. they're awesome!

I agree, if you can get them for around the same price as another good sub, they are worth looking into. I wouldn't spend more than $150 on a JL though, as you can buy bigger and better for the same price .

I usually upgrade batteries first. Alternator if needed (high output alternators are costly, void warranties if applicable, and usually don't have much warranty themselves). In the order of how I do things on the charging system, it goes; Wiring (including the big 3), battery under the hood, one solid energy cell in the trunk. If that turns out not being enough.....go for the upgraded alternator.

Kinetik batteries aren't what they used to be anymore. I'd have to do some research again, I forgot who makes the big bad energy cells these days, but I know its not Kinetik anymore. All of my local shops QUIT selling Kinetik batteries, I'm sure there's a good reason .

never get brands like audiopipe for an amp they arent very reliable. look on sonicelectronix.com for an amp and subs. i suggest getting 1 10in Pioneer Premier TS-W2502D2 and a power acoustic amp which is a little overrated by 100 watts or so because they test them at 15v instead of 12v. those subs dont require alot of space either

You have some more reading to do then. Audiopipe amps are hands down the best bang per buck amplifier out there. They make rated power easily, and some even do more. As long as you know which models to choose of course.

And why would you recommend a 10" sub that has no way in HELL of fitting underneath the seat of that truck without lifting. And if lifting is going to be involved on the back seat, there's better options out there for the same money. Heck, a Type R would honestly be a better choice. And I used to own 3x Premier 3000 SPL's.

EDIT:
Also, there would be no easy way of fitting a big sub like that 2500 under that seat, and feeding it the proper box dimensions that it needs. There's just no way, ESPECIALLY if he wants to port it.

Alright well here's what I finally think I'm going to be doing. Since I doubt my dad will let me to lift the back seat I'm just going to have to make use of what space I got. I will be going with the same box as posted in OP I will most likely be going with the same amp also..... as for subs I think I will be going for Kicker CVT's http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...10CVT104-.html basically because I have a limited amount of space to work with.

If you can find me other shallow mounted subs that are better and that with go in the box then by all means let me know what you have.
